In June 2020 JUA took part in the Micro-Grid Academy course RenewABLE Energy Systems for Covid Health Centers, coordinated by RES4Africa Foundation, where AVSI Foundation and University of Rome La Sapienza were project leaders.
During the Academy, JUA technical team analyzed the consumption data from 11 Health Centers operating by AVSI, a non-profit organization founded in 1972, which implements development and humanitarian aid projects in 33 countries, including Italy.
After a preliminary sizing JUA carried out a feasibility study for each health center and a first pilot project is currently in the preparation stage for implementation. In particular, the first Pilot Project will be focused on empowering the Juja Farm Health Center, Kiambu County, Kenya.
